According to a report Monday from Mobile Advertising Watch, there’s growing excitement surrounding Oculus Connect 2, scheduled for September 23-25 in Hollywood, California.
Registration is now open for the convention, MAW reports, which will bring together more than 1,500 of the top developers, engineers, creators, and thought leaders working in Virtual Reality (VR).
According to details obtained by MAW from Oculus, this year’s confab will see double the number of talks and presentations.
“We’re especially interested in receiving submissions that fall within the following Connect tracks: VR Engineering, Game and App Design, and Cinematic VR,” Oculus is quoted.
VR engineering talks should address technical details of developing for PC and mobile platforms, including best practices for optimizing performance, minimizing latency, and mastering advanced rendering techniques.
With game and app design, Oculus wants talks that will zone in on “design and development principles for creating new VR games, apps, and experiences that are innovative, immersive, and fun.”
Last, but not least, speakers are being sought to address cinematic VR.
The deadline for submitting talk proposals is one week from today — Monday, August 3.
