With Marvel remaining on top of the box office and in the hearts of fans worldwide, it’s no surprise that virtual reality and the future of entertainment itself is on the mind of Marvel’s most creative creators.

So what does the future of Marvel hold for virtual reality?

For now, Marvel isn’t dishing details. But the company says that plans definitely include a push into VR.

Speaking with GameSpot, Jay Ong, senior vice president of games and innovation at Marvel, confirmed as much in a coy but confident way that should excite fans of Marvel movies everywhere.

“Absolutely,” Ong said when asked if he sees a future for VR. “In fact, we did a deep dive in looking at the space towards the end of last year, and it offers some pretty incredible opportunities, in terms of delivering really cool experiences. We can’t say anything yet, but believe me, we’re not shying away from it.”
