This week, on the heels of the recent addition to live 360 video broadcasting opportunities on Twitter and Periscope, the team behind Insta360 Nano announced big news for early adopters of this unique broadcasting capability.
The popular clip-on 360 camera for iPhones is now the first 360 camera natively integrated with Periscope to support live 360 video, a provided statement explains.
We’re told that the new feature lets anyone with a Insta360 camera livestream 360-degree videos of live events directly to Twitter and Periscope.
“The Insta360 Nano is the premier clip-on camera solution for iPhones, and we are pleased that our collaboration with Twitter allowed us to be the first camera to support this exciting new feature,” says Maximilian Richter, Insta360’s Senior Marketing & Partnership Manager. “Twitter live 360 video brings you one step closer to being there, and Insta360’s line of cameras are the ideal and easy-to-use equipment solution to make any video extraordinary.”
The Insta360 Nano is available globally at various retailers for $199. According to its makers, the device is “the most powerful yet affordable VR camera on the market.”
